Password Protected Lock is a useful tool that allows you to protect your computer from being used by others. You can enable password protection on Windows startup, after it has logged into session, or when a screen saver is activated. Besides locking your computer on Windows startup, you can disable the boot keys and the boot menu to avoid using other initialization modes. Password Protected Lock uses its own lockup screen where you will have to type the right password to unlock the computer. Also here you can show your own text and image. The text to be scrolled must be typed on the ScrollText frame. If you are logged into session, you can lock your computer by double clicking on the Password Protected Lock system try icon, or by using a set of predefined hotkeys.
Also Password Protected Lock is automatically added to the screen savers list. So you just have to select it from the list to activate it. If the screen saver option "On resume, display Welcome screen" is enabled, the computer will be never locked. Other features: you can restrict the working time of each user profile and allow force system shut down in the lock window.
